Overview
Infant Mental Health Committee IMC, a division of The Emirates Society for Child and Adolescent Mental Health and a WAIMH affiliate chapter is a professional committee composed of mental health professionals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Our goal is to promote the mental wellbeing and healthy development of infants and young children, taking into account cultural, regional, and environmental variations, and to generate and disseminate scientific knowledge.

MISSION
IMC aims to address infant’s specific and unique needs by providing parents and professionals with evidence-based information on specialized topics such as infant assessment, intervention, prevention via trainings, workshops, conferences, and research. IMC also intends to raise the national standards of practice for infant mental health providers by establishing national clinical child mental health guidelines and activities.
